Objectives
In the business environment, accounting serves as a language of
business for communication. People use accounting information, together with
other business knowledge such as finance and human resources in making
business decisions.
The BAFS should, therefore, enable students to acquire a common body of
business knowledge, including accounting, to deal with the dynamic business
environment.
The overall aims of the Business, Accounting and Financial Studies (BAFS)
curriculum are:
To provide
students at senior secondary level with fundamental business knowledge and
skills, so that they can fulfil their roles competently and confidently as
investors, employees, managements and/or entrepreneurs;
To develop
students’ generic skills in research, analysis, leadership, team-building,
communication, critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving and
transfer them to different domains; and
To provide
students with essential business knowledge and skills for higher education/
tertiary studies in accounting/ finance/ management.
宗旨及目標:
在營商環境中,會計是商業機構對內及對外的溝通語言。我們可利用會計信息配合其他商業知識,如財務和人力資源管理等,作出恰當的決策。
因此,商業課程必須包括會計知識,讓學生掌握共通的商業知識,以處理變化萬千的商業環境。
本課程的宗旨是:
讓學生可以在高中時掌握基本的商業知識和技能,使他們將來在社會上能恰如其分地擔當投資者、僱員、管理層及企業家等不同的角色;
培養學生在多方面的共通能力,例如研究能力、分析能力、領導才能、建立團隊的才能、溝通技巧、批判性思考、創意、解難能力等,並可把有關能力運用和發揮在不同的學習領域中;
及
讓學生在高中掌握商業的知識及技能,為有意在大學中選修會計/金融/管理課程的學生作好準備。
